It's been a year and all still work and are loved by grands
This is a fun toy for any spy wannabe you might have. We ended up purchasing the whole set and it has been a big hit at our house!
I got this kit for my 11-year-old son and he has had a lot of fun with it. All the pieces seem to be well made and work just as described. The pieces are easy to use and the sensors make a clear sound. I think it’s fairly priced for what you get and I would recommend it!
Still, it would make a fun gift for someone for a little while. At the time of this review though, this costed $29.99. And that's a little much for something like this, in my opinion. Especially since it requires two AAA batteries to power the motion alarm and the red light flashlight. Probably the coolest part about it is the storage box that can fit everything inside of it. That and, it actually can write as a pen. The ink tube is pretty short but it comes with a spare ink tube believe it or not. And it's a kind of invisible ink. The back of the pen is sort of rubbery and can erase the ink. Then, to get the ink to appear again it needs to be exposed to freezing temperatures, like you would find in a freezer. Probably the biggest downside is that, when the motion alarm is on a red light blinks the entire time. A motion alarm should be inconspicuous, and not flashing a red beacon drawing attention to itself, right? It just ruins the whole motion alarm component... It's a shame too, because the instructions are some of the most well done instructions that I've seen and read in a long time, lol.
