Tracerbot Blue
Ages 5+
4 reviews
A robot that follows any path you draw on paper. Sketch a course with the included marker, set Tracerbot down, and it reads the line with its optical sensors and runs the route you designed. The more complex the course, the more impressive the result. Batteries included, marker and paper included, ready to run from the box.

Draw a line on paper and watch Tracerbot Blue follow it like magic. Kids design the course, the robot reads it, and the adventure runs itself.
- Optical sensors detect and navigate any trail you draw on blank paper
- Create courses as simple or as complex as you like and watch the robot learn them
- Builds critical thinking and motor skills while sparking creativity and curiosity about science and technology

Frequently asked questions
How does Tracerbot follow a drawn line?
Tracerbot uses optical sensors on its underside to detect a black marker line drawn on paper. Place it at the start of any course you draw, and it follows the line wherever it goes, including corners, curves, and loops.
What does Tracerbot Blue come with in the box?
Tracerbot Blue comes with the robot, an ink marker, A4 drawing paper, A4 test trail paper, and an instruction manual. The 4 LR44 batteries are included, so it's ready to run out of the box.
What age is Tracerbot Blue designed for?
Tracerbot Blue is designed for ages 5 and up. Drawing the course is the only required skill, and kids can start with the included test trail paper before designing their own.
Does Tracerbot Blue require any coding or setup?
No. Tracerbot Blue has no coding component and no app. Draw a black line on flat paper, place the robot at the start, and it runs. The optical sensors do the rest.
Are other Tracerbot colors compatible with Tracerbot Blue?
Yes. Tracerbot Blue is part of a set of three: Blue, Red, and Green. All three use the same optical sensor system and can follow the same drawn course simultaneously for multi-robot races.
